We've all been there: you remember *just enough* about a book — a scene, a character, the vibe of the cover — but not the title or author. Now you don't have to.

Introducing "Can't Remember the Book?"

Right below the search bar you'll find a new button: "Can't remember the book?" Tap it and you'll land on a page where you can describe whatever you remember in your own words.

How It Works

  • Click "Can't remember the book?" under the search bar (or go to the Describe page)
  • Type everything you recall — the plot, characters, setting, the era you read it, even what the cover looked like
  • Our AI reads your description and suggests the real books it thinks you mean
  • See a match? Click it and hit Find Similar Books to get recommendations you'll love

Real Books Only

Every suggestion is verified against a live book catalog, so you get real covers and titles — not made-up guesses. If we can't pin it down, just add a few more details (a character name, the setting, or the time period) and try again.

Why We Built It

Sometimes the hardest part of finding your next read is remembering your *last* favorite. This bridges that gap — turning a fuzzy memory into a real book, and a real book into your next great recommendation.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes. Happy reading! 📚
